A prescription drug is a drug that requires a doctor’s prescription in order to be purchased. Most prescription drugs contains high percentage of drug active ingredients that can have side affects to our bodies but they are allowed when a doctor feels needed in order to stop a more serious health problem. Like OTCs, prescription drugs can be in forms of a topical product or edibles, must have an expiration date, lot number and a manufacturer or distributor identification, a warning label with strict direction use.
